Public Impacts Map Improvements

Search function – The Public Impacts Map should allow users to search by street/road name, rather than having to zoom in and locate worksites manually.

Public-friendly information – The details displayed when clicking on a worksite need to be easier for the public to understand. If this map is intended for public use, it needs to be easier to understand a public relevant. I suggest adding prompts when worksite information is entered, so the descriptions presented are more user-friendly, and the contractor knows it will be viewed publicly.

Who is doing the work – The map should show both the contractor and the organisation they are working for (e.g., “Fulton Hogan on behalf of Timaru District Council” or “Menzies on behalf of Alpine Energy”). This would help the community understand that not all roadworks are Council-led—many are carried out by service providers
